Ms. Jocelyn Ho
Ms. Jocelyn Ho is the Associate Director of Orchestras at Centennial High School. Born and raised in Plano, Texas, Ms. Ho began her musical studies in violin at age five. She studied with Philip Lewis at the University of North Texas at the pre-collegiate level. She continued her musical studies at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music where she earned her Bachelors of Violin Performance and Instrumental Music Education. Ms. Ho's passion for music education has led her to teach diverse communities both locally in Southern and Central Indiana and globally in Nairobi, Kenya. During her time at the Jacobs School of Music, she has studied with Brenda Brenner and Mimi Zweig and has been coached by Austin Hartman of the Pacifica String Quartet, Jorja Fleezanis, Alex Kerr, Ellen dePasquale, Kurt Muroki, Chih-Yi Chen, Aram Arakelyan, and several other fine music pedagogues. Outside of teaching, Ms. Ho enjoys staying active by hiking, running, rock climbing, and weight lifting. She also enjoys film photography, thrifting, baking for her friends, and keeping up with her favorite bands. |
